Maxine Reynolds was born in Ionia County in Muir, Michigan on October 30,1919 to Fred and Laura (Kirkham) McConnell Shay. She then moved to Battle Creek Michigan at the age of 6. She attended several schools in Battle Creek, but at the beginning of 11th grade she moved to a farm North of Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1938.
She was married to Edwin W. Reynolds Sr. on August 8, 1953 and he died in 1975. Maxine was a long time active member of First Baptist Church in Bellevue, MI. In 1990 she became a member of Trinity United Methodist church in Battle Creek, MI. Maxine worked many years with the Women Work in Bellevue and Trinity Church. She was involved as a Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the choir at both churches. She loved music, playing the piano, organ, and played the violin. She loved flower gardening, but most of all she wanted to serve in her church teaching wherever she was needed. Maxinewas a Mission Chairman at Trinity Church.
Maxine moved to Orlando, FL in December of 1997. She was very active in her church, Peace United Methodist. Maxine was in the choir, the UMW(United Methodist Women), and loved going to her Sunday School class every Sunday. Maxine enjoyedgoing to Disney and spending time with her family. She also loved to cook and bake so many yummy things! Maxine was famous for her cinnamon Christmas rolls and her chocolate cake. She always loved being around her family and friends. Maxine was blessed with turning 100 years of age on October 30, 2019.
Maxine entered into her final rest while she was a resident of Westminster Towers, surrounded with her family by her side.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Edwin W. Reynolds Sr. and her son Edwin W. Reynolds Jr. (Bill).
Maxine is survived by her son Robert Kirk Reynolds (Debbie), 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 29 great great grandchildren, and 3 great great greatgrandchildren.

She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue, Michigan.
