Maria Isabel Collazo

Mrs. Collazo was born March 25, 1932, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, to Francisco and Carlota (Correa) Rivera.

She graduated from high school and then continued her educational career at Burlington Community College where she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. In October 1951, she joined the U.S. Army where she worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant to high ranking officials. On April 27th, 1957, she married Juan R. Collazo where they worked and resided in New Jersey. Mrs. Collazo moved to Orlando, Florida in 1994 where they purchased their home and settled with beloved family and friends.

Mrs. Collazo is survived by her two children, Victor Antonio Collazo and Chariese Marie Anderson, and their 4 grandchildren, Chastity Collazo, Milan Anderson, Demetrius Anderson and Sophia Anderson.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 5-8pm at Family Funeral Care, 13001 South John Young Parkway, Orlando. Funeral service will be Friday, August 10, 2012 at 11 am followed by burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 2:30pm.
