Lillian Powell Martin

Lillian Powell Martin, 91, of Winter Park, FL, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2021 at her home in Winter Park, Florida. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia August 30, 1929. Lillian graduated from the University of Georgia in 1951 and was a Life Loyal member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Lillian was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park, Florida for over 50 years. She was a member of the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, St. Frances Guild, and a Sunday school teacher. Lillian was a member of many Civic Boards in the community including the Associate Symphony Board, Winter Park Day Nursery, and Forest Hills Garden Club. She was a member of the special friends groups Monday Menders, Quilters and Friday Mt. Vernon Lunch Group. She was a past member of the Country Club of Orlando and present member of Interlachen Country Club. Her favorite activities were reading, spending time with family, and entertaining friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Robert Martin, her parents, Henry Miller Powell and Lurline Ester Anne Passailaigue Powell, and brother Henry Powell of Atlanta, GA. Lillian is survived by their children Lurline Martin of Winter Park, Nancy M. Morgan (wife to Scott) of West Melbourne, William Robert Martin, Jr. (husband to Lisa) of Wellington; grandchildren, Hailee Martin, Ashton Martin Prekup (wife to Kyle), William G. Morgan and Adeline P. Morgan; Nieces, Kappy Powell and Janis Martin of Atlanta.

Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Winter Park with reception following.
