Laura lived next door to me in the apartment complex which had a fence separating us.  I loved when  Laura would come over to visit,  because we often would share a meal with which she would take the lead as she was a wonderful cook.  There were a number of days when she would "leap over the fence" to make it quicker.  I was so blessed to meet Laura one day when she was looking for a ride home from Northland where at the time we both attended.  After that, most days when a group of us were going to a Bible Study at Elaine Gritter's, or a trip to Sea World as in this picture, Laura would be part of the group. I loved the relationship Laura had with her son Tony.  Sadly, I never got to meet her husband as he had passed when I met her.  The love she and Tony had for each other was such a blessing.  He often would come to my home to pick her up for a visit to his home later in her life.  I loved seeing their love and familial relationship and was happy for both of them. I have so many wonderful memories of Laura, but one of my favorites was when we were going for a walk at Cranes Roost and suddenly a child came running and yelling with complete joy, Ms. Laura, Ms Laura.  I often would see a child being so elated to see Ms. Laura as she loved children with her whole heart and they knew it.  I miss you Laura.  Our friends from that time all miss you.  We were so blessed to know you.
