My brother Jerry was my best friend since early childhood.  Me was my mentor - who taught me how to jitterbug, play cards, ride a bicycle, drink - when I started going out on dates, betting on the horses, etc.
He took me to the Copacabana nightclub in New York to see Frank Sinatra when I was a teenager, we both swooned and were fans forever.  We went to the horse races Saturday afternoons and the trotters in the evening.  When he was in the Navy he always sent me "To My Sister" souvenirs - gold locket, wall hanging, bracelet, etc.
When he went into his own business I gave him money to help him get started.
In later years we had our differences but, thank God - we got together again - loving and caring for each other as best friends - closer than family. 
When I saw him or spoke to him these last two years, Jerry always  said "we will always have each other"  and we expressed how much we loved each other.
I will miss him forever.
