Jeffrey Scott Huggins, 33, of Orlando Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 16 2024. Born on July 27, 1990 in Orlando, Florida to his parents Mary and Neil Huggins. As he grew up Jeff was filled with a special light that shone through his talents on the football and lacrosse fields to the dojo where he earned a brown belt in Shito-Ryu.
While attending Timber Creek High School, Jeff followed in the footsteps of his dad and joined the Orlando Fire Department Explorer Program. He excelled in the program and was accepted to the fire academy at the age of 18. Jeff carved a career path that led him to the Orlando Fire Department.
Jeff rose through the ranks through hard work and determination and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. His compassion leadership and honor molded him into a fine young man and firefighter.
While advancing his career Jeff was able to travel the world, visiting nearly every country. In his travel adventures, Jeff often met up with his dad and Tracy in foreign countries. Jeff was an outdoorsmen who loved to surf, snowboard, ski and fish.
Jeff was a kind and loving son that a parent could ever hope for and we all were overjoyed when he told us he had met the love of his life. Jeff brought a special light to this world and was filled with love for his family, friends and all those he served.
Jeff is survived by his loving parents, mother, Mary Huggins, father, Neil Huggins, stepmother, Tracy Huggins; girlfriend: Taylor Santamaria; siblings, Kate Huggins and Riley Huggins; grandmothers, Agnes Knudsen and Donna Reiter; great aunt: Lois Corbett; Aunts and Uncles, Patricia Knudsen (Joseph Mattessich), Robert P. Knudsen (Johanna Westley), Richard Knudsen and Clint Huggins; Cousins: Michael Torrell, Zachary Torrell, Samantha Manganiello, Kelly Knudsen, Bobby Knudsen, Patrick Corbett, Erica Knudsen, Jenny Knudsen, Colt Knudsen, Fin Knudsen; and all of his friends and the OFD Family. Jeff will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, FL 32792. A committal service will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789. Immediately follow the burial will be reception at Orlando Professional Fire Fighters Hall, 4005 N. Orange Blossom Trl., Orlando, FL 32804
