Janice Halvosa Catella Sharrow Louche, 78, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 surrounded by her family. Jan kept us in stitches to the very end. She is survived by: Son: Todd Catella and wife Shirley Wallace Catella Grandchildren: Samuel Catella, Aimee Catella Bennett and her husband Michael Bennett, Benjamin Catella and his wife Kristen Ettinger Catella, Alayna Catella Great-Grandchildren: Ashley Bennett, Kailee Bennett, Gabriel Bennett Son: Randall Clement Sharrow and wife Honey McPherson Sharrow Grandchildren: Stephanie Oleary, Sophia Sharrow, Calliana Sharrow and Sydney McPherson Great-Grandchildren: Emily Oleary, Ethan Oleary, Ella Oleary and Mia Oleary Son: Chauncey Guy Michael Sharrow Grandchildren: Conner Sharrow and Colin Sharrow Deceased Son: Robert James Catella, Jr. (Date of passing: February 27, 1983 at age 22) Janice and her identical twin sister, Janet Marguerite Halvosa Mauro (married name) were born to Edward J. Halvosa and Marguerite G. Halvosa on November 6th, 1938. Janice moved from Burlington, Vermont to Orlando, Florida in the summer of 1966, the year Walt Disney announced his plans to open a theme park in Central Florida. At that time, she was married to Irving "Nick" Sharrow with sons, Todd Edward Catella, born September 3, 1960 and Robert James Catella, Jr. born August 31, 1961 from her previous marriage to Robert James Catella, Sr. Later that year, Randall Clement Sharrow was born on December 20, 1966, followed by Chauncey Guy Sharrow on October 2, 1968. They raised their family in the Pine Castle/Skylake area of Orlando in the Oak Ridge High School district. During their time together, Nick and Jan were active members of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, rarely missing a Sunday as devout Catholics. It was through the church that Jan made many lifelong friends who have laughed, loved and lived life to the fullest together. After her 11 year marriage to Irving "Nick" Sharrow, Jan initially provided for her four boys by working 3 part-time minimum wage jobs during the bad economy of 1975. After a couple years she started waiting tables for the rest of her career. She served with the gifts she had to keep food on the table as a single mother of four boys ages 7 to 15. Jan graduated from Valencia Community College as a LPN in 1991. Although she never pursued that career, it was just another reminder of her heart for serving others. Jan lived her faith with a gift of unselfish giving and service to others. You always knew where you stood with her and could not pull the wool over her eyes. She always drew from her sense of humor to get her through tough times. Laughter, lifelong friendships and faith were her "possessions" to get through each day. Material possessions were never important. It was love, self-sacrifice and the gift of giving were foundational in her life. Jan loved being a grandmother and was blessed to be able to invest herself in each of her grandchildren's lives as they were growing up. She taught them how to laugh and how to live and her legacy of laughter is evident in each of them. Ma, Grandma Puppy, Jan, you will be missed and we love you. We will always cherish the memories of our lives with you. We will always remember your unique laugh that would make us laugh with you. There are many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner memories that will go on in the lives of our families. In your honor, we will put the Christmas tree up on your birthday, November 6, to continue your tradition because that was part of our family Christmas preparations with you. You were the best mom, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. In the spirit of Jan's heart of giving and service to others who need assistance, the family is requesting you donate to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers. .
