You will forever have a place in my heart and I thank you for all of the knowledge and wisdom you’ve provided in our times together.

We laughed and we prayed together.
We fought and we survived together.
We planted and we served together.

Even though we both learned so many years ago at Meharry Medical College that "medicine is a jealous mistress" - -  we never forgot that the LORD loves us even more. For "we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, for good works... " Ephesians 2:10

Thank-you for your service, your good works, and your dedication to the LORD in helping to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others. Will miss you much!

Mr. Moore, you will be missed.  I enjoyed your funny sense of humor and your wise advice and your eloquent sermons.  One thing I am happy about is that you knew the Lord and is now resting in His loving arms. I remembered the time when I was waiting for your wife, Darcell, my best friend and a person came to the house.  You were working in the garden. The man passed you and went to the house to ring the doorbell. You ignored him just as he ignored you.  Finally when no one came to the door, he acknowledged your presence and asked to speak to Mr. Moore. You then asked who he was and responded that you'll let Mr. Moore now that he came by when you see him.  We both laughed as the man walked away.  That was one of the many humorous times we had together. I will miss you.  Rest in peace.

Brother James Moore was a blessing to many people, and especially in regards to his service as a deacon with the Fortune Road Church of Christ in Kissimmee.  He also would preach for us on occasion.  Together with his service as a medical doctor, you could say that he served his fellow man both spiritually and physically.  His faith in Jesus Christ and his service as a disciple of Jesus gives us all great hope that if we remain faithful to Jesus we can look forward to spending eternity with him together with all the redeemed.  Thank you, Jesus, and thank you brother James for your faith, hope and love in Christ!

James was a blessing not only to his family but to all that knew him. He blessed others, because of his unique view of life, James found a silver lining in the worst situation. From the train accident in 1970 where he was injured and could have lost his life to the academic challenges of medical school through the highs and lows of his medical career to the multiple health challenges he experienced including his recent fall and failed surgery. James was humorous, causing us  to laugh. He was a sparkle in the water of life , causing a chuckle in our spirit, and even now doing all days of grief James humorous spirit chases the gods of depression gloom and melancholy from our heavy hearts  as his spirit continues to nourish us .

James became a wonderful friend and brother in Christ  during the relatively short time we were members of the Fortune Road church of Christ in Kissimmee .  He was a very pleasant man  to speak with  and each conversation often brought a laugh or two.  We send our condolences to the entire family and pray God will bless you as you grieve in the days to come.  Surely, all of you have beautiful memories of James to provide comfort as your lives continue.
