Ismael "Izzy" Irizarry Jr, 69, of Orlando, FL went to be with his Savior on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Izzy lived a life like no other. He was born in the Bronx, but graduated from New Bedford High School. He went on to marry his childhood sweetheart, Yolanda. Izzy joined the Air Force and served as a Medical Technician for 21 years. In that time he served in Florida, Korea, Germany, Saudi Arabia and North Dakota. After retirement, he went on to get his Masters from University of Phoenix in Hospital Administration. As impressive as that may seem, nothing compared to the work that he did for God. He was a worship leader, teacher, counselor, and fierce friend. His goal was to bring glory to God and only God. He has now gone into his rest. He has run his race. He has left behind his wife of 48 years, Yolanda Irizarry, his daughter Jennifer, his son Jason and daughter-in-law Elaine. His grandchildren Sarah, Josiah, Abby, and Maria. He also is survived by his brothers and sisters, Felix, Ricky, Irving, Edna, Lydia, and Miriam.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will be having a private service to celebrate Ismael’s life, but welcome friends and family to join via livestream.
