Inge R. Young, 82, of Maitland, Florida, passed away on June 11, 2021. She was born in Germany to parents, Josef and Pauline Gawenda. Inge married Ronald L. Young in 1959 and they both came to the United States in 1968.
Her proudest moment was becoming an US Citizen in 1973.
She went on to become a cafeteria worker in Orange County School District and retired from Westridge Junior (now Middle) School, but she was so much more. She enjoyed fishing every afternoon with her best friend, though we never saw a fish come home. She was also a champion bowler with her team Mission Impossible. Despite her sweet demeanor, she was a competitive card and bingo player, beating the socks off her family and friends many times.
Most importantly, she valued her time with her family and friends. She was survived by her son and his wife, Randy and Michelle Young; her daughter and her husband, Diana and Glenn Crozier; grandchildren, Adrianne and her husband, Alfred Sumrall, Genevieve Young, Victoria Young, and Stephanie and her husband Marshall Smith; great grandson, Trentyn Smith; sister, Ingrid Hulbert and brother in law, William Young. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald and siblings, Hubert, Margaret and Edith.
