Helen Merz Kuhn

She was a school teacher for 30 years before retiring in 1973, and moved to Orlando, Florida. After moving to Orlando, she met and married her husband, Karl Kuhn in 1974. Since he was a pilot, Helen decided to get her pilot’s license which she accomplished in 1975 and in 1982 she received her Instrument rating license.

Helen is survived by her cousin, Ray Merz; great niece, Jill Dodson and her best friend and her family, Wanda (Linwood) Jones, her daughters, Michelle (Jack) Wright and Stephanie Pomeroy and her grandchildren, Brittany, Katelyn and Conner. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Karl in 2005.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 10am at First United Church of Christ, 4605 Curry Ford Road, Orlando. Viewing will be 9am also at the church on Monday. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Road, Orlando.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
