Gail O. Yagci

Wife, mother, and elementary school teacher, Gail Yagci passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 49 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Gail completed her Master’s degree in Special Education at FSU in 1999, and most recently taught at Riverdale Elementary School. Her pride was in her students, where she shared her heartfelt support and passion for learning with hundreds of children over the years.

Gail’s pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. She loved spending time in nature and in her garden, often finding beauty where others might miss. She loved staying fit through yoga and healthy cooking, and loved traveling, especially attending theatre and visiting museums. Mostly, she loved her family.

Gail is survived by her husband, Hurkan Ali Yagci, her beloved son, Kaya Yagci, and her two brothers, John O’Keefe and Paul O’Keefe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, February 28th, 2021 at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32837.
