She was born June 12, 1926 in Lithuania. Gena met Edward J. Pecukonis, a United States Air Force member, while he was serving in Europe. They married and were stationed at many places around the world. She became a United States Citizen, and they eventually settled in Orlando, Florida, with their two dogs.
Gena was best known for her paintings, for speaking five languages and her love for the game show, The Price Is Right. She was also known to be a friendly face at community bingo night. On Saturday, you would find her at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church until she could no longer attend.
She will be missed greatly by her family and friends, Kathleen Bogurske, Orlando, Florida, Gina Wirth of Clayton, New York and Sophie Frelich of Riverview, Michigan.
Graveside Services will be on February 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Father Bill from Blessed Trinity officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given to her favorite organizations: Boys Town, Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando or Cornerstone Hospice Orlando, Florida.
