Mrs. Elsie Facundus

Although born in Chicago, IL on July 10, 1933, she spent much of her childhood in Miami, FL.

She attended Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, FL but graduated from Collegedale Academy in Collegedale, TN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA.

She married Jack P. Facundus (Dr. Jack) on April 11th, 1954 in Miami, FL and worked briefly in his pediatric office as his nurse until she started having children, at which time she became a full time homemaker.

She was a member of the Orange County Medical Auxiliary and passionately engaged in the education of her children by volunteering as a homeroom mother as they attended Orlando Junior Academy in College Park and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

She is survived by daughters Leanne (Allan) Andino, Darlyn (Gary) Jimenez, and son Jack Maurice Facundus, grandchildren Colton Jimenez, Jack Jimenez, Jayce Jimenez, Maurie Andino, and Adonna Andino. Husband, Jack, and daughter, Rhonda, preceded her in death.

Her life will be celebrated via a come and go reception from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 6th at the WholeLife SDA Church at 2800 North Orange Ave, Orlando, FL, 32804.
