Deeno Alexander Golding, 47, of Mount Sterling, Kentucky passed away on December 22, 2017 in Kissimmee, Florida while visiting his Beloved Family for the holidays.
The impact Deeno has had on those around him is immeasurable. Deeno was a “gentle giant” who put 100% effort into everything he did…though you may never know it, for his deep humility.
Deeno’s life has been dedicated to education, rising to the highest level in his field as a tenured university professor in Art & Design at Morehead State University. Even during the summers, he inspired up-and-coming young artists. He began each summer in China, teaching at a prestigious Arts Academy in Guanxi; then, came home to dive into Kentucky’s Governor’s Scholar Program (GSP) where he gave high capacity high school juniors direction for their passions for 13 years. Although he received heartfelt praise from students and colleagues alike, Deeno expected nothing but to honor his role as an educator.
Deeno’s favorite role, though, was serving as a part of his family “team”. He supported, worked alongside, traveled with and adored his wife, Yanya. They were planning their 20 year anniversary for February 2018. Deeno loved and enjoyed his son, Milo, coached his basketball team (8-0 this season), taught him the value of good work and was a superhero to him.
Deeno had the unique talent of being able to remember every word of every song from every band he had ever heard without flaw! “No problem” he would always say…and, would hold two thumbs up.
He will be deeply missed.
Deeno Alexander Golding was preceded in death by his brother, Marco Golding.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yanya Yang and adoring son, Milo; his dear parents, Everold & Fay Golding.
A Memorial Celebration of Deeno’s Life will be held at South Orlando Baptist Church on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00am -- reception to follow.
