Deborah Ann (Clifton) Betts, beloved mother, daughter, wife and sister, joined her loving parents and God’s angels on March 16, at the age of 65. She passed away peacefully at Orlando Regional Medical Hospital, in Orlando, surrounded by family.
Deborah was born on October 13, 1956 in Tampa, Florida to Arthur and Jean (Schmid) Clifton. Her father served in the United States Air Force which eventually brought them to Orlando, Florida where Deborah met and married her husband, Donald, and raised their family of three boys.
Deborah graduated from William R. Boone High School, in Orlando, Florida - Class of 1974. Upon graduation she worked for Travelers Insurance and retired after 20 years of dedication. After retirement, she worked for Walt Disney World and Hallmark, Inc. She was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in scrapbooking to document her family's history. She was happiest spending time with her boys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jean (Schmid) Clifton; along with her niece, Heather Shiver.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Joseph, along with their three sons, Sean, Ryan, and Tyler Betts.
Sean and his wife, Allison Smith Betts, reside in Draper, Utah with their four children, Rhiley, Reese, Waverly, and Maycee. Ryan and Tyler Betts both reside in Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her five siblings, Michael (Renay), Diana Oxendine (Willie), Brian (Estela), Stephen, and Drew (Jill); nine nieces and nephews: Christine, Belinda, Jessica, Brian, Adam, Andrew, Nicole, Jeremy and Josh; and, many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deborah will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose hearts she touched.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested that you offer a random act of kindness to a stranger in her honor, whether you offer them a flower, or a simple smile or hello.
A memorial gathering and celebration of life took place on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 9:00am at Baldwin-Fairchild, 1413 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32807.
