POIRIER, DEAN, AGE, 52, passed away April 24, 2010. Dean was born in Brockton, MA on February 5, 1958. After serving in the US Navy, he lived in Phoenix, AZ for 20 years and worked 18 years at the US Post Office. He then moved to Orlando and was employed at Palmetto Elementary School as a third grade teacher. His passions were education (holding three higher eduation degrees), home and gardening, love of nature, golf, fishing, traveling, cooking and hockey (was a goalie on numerous ice hockey teams). His most recent accomplishment was a detailed family geneology. He is survived by spouse: William “Bill” Throckmorton; father: Ronald Poirier, Sr.; brothers: Ronald Poirier, Jr. (Jeannie), East Bridgewater, MA; Darren Poirier, Kissimmee; Daniel Poirier (Christine), Merritt Island; Dana Poirier, South Florida and sister: Michelle Garrett (James), Orlando; also, thirteen nieces and nephews and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Froio Poirier and his maternal grandparents, Irene and Anthony Froio.
