Võ Thị Xuân Đào was her maiden name born on February 12, 1939, in Tuy Hòa, Phú Yên, Việt Nam. She passed away on June 26, 2024, at 11:13 AM to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is the second child of her parents Võ Văn Sậy and Bùi Thị Mai family of four children. Đào also has a stepbrother and a stepsister after her father died, and her mother remarried.
Đào was a successful businesswoman in her young adult life as she was growing up in her family. In 1963 she was married to her husband
Nguyễn Tê, and she took up his last name to be Nguyễn Võ Xuân Đào. After a government change in Vietnam in 1975 Đào and her husband faced challenges to live under a new government. She was a brave wife and mother. When her husband Tê and three sons escaped from Vietnam in 1980 to seek freedom, Đào and her youngest son and daughter stayed behind in Vietnam. She was sentenced for 4years in prison under the new government because of her political involvement quote “acting against communism, the new ruling in VIETNAM “. Mrs. Nguyen served 3 years in the correctional institution and was released early in 1984.
After Mrs. Nguyen was released from the institution, she could not wait any longer to reunite with her husband and children. In 1987 she left Vietnam to come to the Philippines where she had her baptism and was heading toward the USA. On June 1988 Mrs Nguyen reunited with her husband Tê and children in the USA. Đào was happy to see Tê again after so many years. She started working as a seamstress and helped her husband to raise their children. Mrs Nguyễn also loved to help Tê to run his body shop. As Mrs Nguyễn got older in life she enjoyed gardening and walking. She also loved her spiritual walk with God and enjoyed keeping her husband Tê company wherever he went. Đào was blessed to be part of her church family, thankful and joyful to have fellowship with sisters and brothers in Christ. She hopes to see everyone one day in Heaven with her Creator. Mrs Nguyen appreciated this Land of the Free for giving her the freedom to live for the past 36 years in the USA. Mrs Nguyen is survived by her Husband Nguyễn Tê, four sons with their wives, youngest daughter with her husband, and ten grandchildren. God bless America.
