Charles was born near Jackson, KY, in Breathitt County, on November 18, 1929. He attended public schools, including Breathitt County High, in Jackson. After a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force, he attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in 1956 with a BS in Biology and Chemistry. He then entered the University of Louisville School of Medicine and graduated with honors in 1960. He was also awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following his internship at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando, FL from 1960 to 1961, Dr. Noble practiced family medicine in Orlando for ten years. He entered the Dermatology Program at Washington University and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO in 1971 and completed the program in 1974. Dr. Noble then returned to Orlando and practiced dermatology and cutaneous surgery until he retired in 2000. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orlando. Dr. Noble died on July 28, 2012 of widespread metastases of an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He was 82. He is survived by his son, Barry Noble (Deborah) of Lake Mary, FL; daughter, Margaret Noble Zimmerman (Jason) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Zack, Jessica, and Luke Noble of Lake Mary, FL and Joshua Zimmerman of Orlando, FL; brother, Orie (Jean) of Jackson, KY; and best friend and caregiver, Ruth Rymer (Bob) of Orlando, FL. It was his wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society for prostate cancer. A viewing will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6 pm to 8 pm, where funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1 pm.
