Carolyn Alisa Kelly, beloved daughter of Errol and Beverley Kelly was born in Manhattan, New York, on January 7, 1976. In 1979 when Carolyn was three years old, her parents moved the family to Miami, Florida. Caro (as she was affectionately called) loved the sunshine and the freedom she had in playing with the other kids she met at the community poolside. She and her older sister attended Sunday School at the Kendall Church of God.
During the family’s residence of over 11 years there, Carolyn attended the Glendale Preschool; Bent Tree Elementary and the McMillan Middle School. Shortly after she started attending the Braddock High School, the family moved to Orlando, in December of 1990. She attended the Dr. Phillips High School and later the Cypress Creek Neighborhood High School and graduated in 1994.
During this time she would work he little jobs babysitting for families in the neighborhood; the Pastor of the Methodist Church, Management of the Publix Chain of Supermarkets, and even celebrities like Bryant Gumble when they were in town. She adored pets and even though she got a few scratches, she sat for them too.
Carolyn was a great scholar. She started working at the John Young Elementary School in that year just after she graduated High School where she obtained a 2-year scholarship to Valencia Community College. She continued at the University of Central Florida where she pursued a degree in education.
Carolyn had the exceptional ability to relate to children and was an outstanding role model for them. She etched an indelible mark of kindness and love in the hearts of those she touched. She was an incredibly loving and respectful daughter. Her gentle manner and sweet smile, and love for her family will live on in our memory.
Carolyn had a great talent for the Arts. One of her hobbies was painting Ceramic pieces, which she would give to her friends. Another one of her favorite times, was to visit her cousins in New York chiefly at Christmastime, when it snowed.
Carolyn made her transition on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012. She leaves to mourn, her loving parents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, and a host of many dear friends.
