Beatrice M. Kelly September 5, 1943 – July 22, 2017 Born in New York, New York Resided in Orlando, FL Beatrice “Bea” M. Kelly, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 due to complications from lung disease. Bea was born in New York, NY to John “Jack” and Anna Doloughty. She was married to John “Jack” Kelly, Jr for three months short of 55 years. Bea was very involved in numerous charitable, church and school organizations. After moving from Levittown, New York, where she was involved with Catholic Daughters of America and the Catholic Deanery, she continued her faithful service with those organizations in Orlando. At Good Shepherd Catholic Church, she was an involved member of the Women’s Guild, the church bereavement committee, and served as a Lector and in many capacities as a volunteer at Good Shepherd Catholic School. Bea was a member of the Orlando General Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered in the hospital gift shop for many years. When her daughters were in elementary school, she became an integral part of the Azalea Park Elementary School volunteer staff and served as President of the PTA. When her daughters moved to junior high, she accepted a position as an Administrative Assistant with the Orange County School System where she excelled in her skills from Thorpe Secretarial School. From her work with the school system, she developed a passion for the agricultural and resource officer programs and began her positions with the local and state FFA (Future Farmers of America) and FASRO/NASRO (Florida/National Association of School Resource Officers) where she served as state and national officers and received numerous awards and recognitions. Bea lived every day by her staunch beliefs and Catholic faith. Her strength, determination, devotion and kindness to others followed closely with her love, support and protection of her family and friends. She instilled those traits in her daughters and grandchildren. Bea is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Kelly, Jr; her daughters Margaret “Peggy” Bégin, Barbara (David) Hursey, Colleen (Tim) Driscoll and Nancy (Robert) Stokes; her grandchildren Shannon and Sean (Peggy) Bégin, Briahna (Barbara) Hursey, Sydney, Danny and Riley White and Michelle (Colleen) Hartman and Mason and Hunter (Nancy) Stokes; her great grandchildren Krista, Danny and Tanner (Colleen) Hartman; her siblings, Kathleen Fennessey (John), Maureen Doloughty, Brian Doloughty, Sr, Patty Reilly (John), Donna Doloughty (AJ) and Keith Doloughty (Janet), along with many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted and loving wife, a wonderful mother who taught her daughters to be strong, independent women, and most definitely the proudest, honored, devoted Nana who was happy to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at every possible chance. An Irish Blessing “May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields and, Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.” A Celebration of her life will begin with a gathering of friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 1413 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando. The Commitment Service will follow the funeral mass at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2424 Harrel Road, Orlando. A reception to honor Bea will follow the commitment service at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 2021 W SR 426, Oviedo, FL.
