April 27, 1930 - August 10, 2022
Barbara, affectionately known as Aunt Barb, was a longtime resident of Manhattan, residing there with her husband of over 59 years, Albert H. Khoury. Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Michigan State, in the Spring of 1953, fluent in both French and Spanish. After a whirlwind romance, she and Albert married, and moved to Manhattan. Having been a White Sox fan, where her Father worked most of his life, she soon became a Yankees fan. Barbara was a real go-getter in Advertising/Product Development for many years, and later, in the Fashion industry. She and Albert traveled extensively, and maintained a residence in the Hamptons, along with their residence in Manhattan. After her dear Albert passed away, Barbara relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2018, to be close to her niece and caretaker, Elizabeth.
Barbara was very popular and always had an interesting and/or humorous story to share about the many aspects and times in her life. Barbara had a passion for baseball and golf, and watched both regularly, while finding time for Downton Abbey, as well. Barbara prayed everyday, for all of her family and friends, and always by name.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents, her brother Larry, and her beloved Albert. Barbara is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Dryden, along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and her cousins. She will be missed by all who knew her.
