Harold Anthony Maldonado 87, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 07/15/2017. He was born in Manhattan, New York to parents Cayetano Maldonado and Agustina Rubio Maldonado. Anthony served as a Sargent in the US Army in Germany and throughout Europe until the age of 30. When his time in the service was finished, he worked in a fountain pen factory and in a meat market in New York. He later worked at the New York Daily News and the New York Times as a driver and as a foreman until his retirement at 62. He was the husband of Maria T. Maldonado, having celebrated 42 years of marriage on May 31st of this year. He moved to Orlando, Florida after his retirement. He lived in Wedgefield from 1992 until 2017, and moved to Gulfstream Harbor earlier this year. He and his wife enjoyed socializing at the Orlando senior center and organizing activities and trips. He is survived by his son, Joseph Maldonado of New York. He is also survived by a brother, Rudolph Maldonado and sister Frances Staffa of New Jersey. He was also the brother of the late William Maldonado and George Maldonado. He is the grandfather of Joseph Maldonado and Andrew Maldonado of New York.
