Anna Frances Bongiorno, of Orlando, Florida, 102 years old, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. Anna was currently living at The Commons of Orlando Lutheran Towers. She was born in Middletown, CT but had moved with her husband and children to Orlando in 1956 where she raised her family. During her younger years, Anna had been a very active member of The Young Homemakers, a UF Extension Service club. She was also a 25-year member of the Does Club, the ladies’ civic organization of the Orlando Elks Club, where she had served in various roles as an officer. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 72 years, Frank J. Bongiorno. She is survived by her three children; Frank Bongiorno, Jr., Phyllis Tanner, and Joseph M. Bongiorno, all of Orlando. She also has seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two brothers who reside in Connecticut. The Celebration of Anna’s life will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the 18th Floor Chapel of The Fountains at Orlando Lutheran Towers, 300 E. Church St (public parking in the garage directly across Church Street). Reception will follow the service from 12:00 to 1:15 in the Parish Hall located in the basement of The Fountains. A brief viewing will follow at Baldwin Fairchild (Dignity) Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, 1413 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, (407.277.6700) with internment afterward at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, Florida.
