I remember the first time we met in Puerto Rico, with the softball team, I was taken aback with the resemblance of your brother Edgar you guys could pass for exact twins. After our game that night we were all celebrating and we  got into a conversation about life, family and softball, we talked for a  hours and it felt like we knew each other for 20 years. We stayed in touch through the years and I will always cherish those times we spent together with friends and family. You will never be forgotten my brother, you will always be in my prayers, God Bless!

My cousin Alex. You were a true definition of a great man. There are some things I can say but those who knew you will know them all so I’ll leave at you being a great man. I will say however, you were an amazing father to your children.  From the moment we reconnected years ago, we talked about our Rodriguez family, got chances to spend time together, both in the States and in Puerto Rico. I loved every time we’d talk for hours (what can I say, we Rodriguez love to talk). I will miss our calls and catching up on everything and even talking about you being a NY Jets fan. You loved your Jets. You made sure to remind me of that. I loved it when we’d talk about my (your Godmother) and how much she loved you and you her or we’d talk about Titi Lucy whom I have always adored. I’m going to miss you cuz. You keep shining over your children and the family from Heaven. I’ll end it like you did in that final text message: much love primo. Rest In Peace Alex. To my family: while I may not be there in person for tomorrow and Friday’s  services, please know that my heart will be there with each of you.  My heartfelt condolences to each of you. La familia Rodríguez Marcucci, hijos y familiares. Nos unimos al sentimiento ante la partida de nuestro hermano y amigo Alex Rodríguez. Hoy el pudiera decir como dice la palabra en 2 Timoteo 4:7-8 He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. Por lo demás me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida. Ya Alex se nos adelantó pero queda en nuestros recuerdos hermosas experiencias vividas y compartidas con el; fuiste un hombre humilde, demostraste liderazgo y compañerismo, armonía con todos los que te rodeaban, deseos de servir a Dios con devoción y así ayudar a otros a alcanzar la salvación del alma como ya él lo había experimentado, hermosa y experiencia para compartir el día que fuiste a las aguas bautismales, todos encontraron el agua del rió fría, más tu experimentaste la gloria de Dios y el agua estaba caliente; que gozo se reflejó en su rostro sentir ese gozo y paz que solo Dios da.Sabemos que has descansas, tu partida nos entristece pero te recordaremos con mucho amor y cariño, guardando la esperanza de verte en la mañana gloriosa. Now my Akex is with my Mom in heaven.  Two 😇.  God had  different plans for us, but I thank him for the years we had together ❤️ 

These were the best Military life experiences we had together married and met our wonderful friends/family Nitza & James throught those 3 years then after we were stationed in Colorado springs for 9 years. I thank God for having had to experience these wonderful memories me & my family.Alex & I Loved Italy and we had a blast in Spain. We were adventurous & so inlove as before his departing I'm blessed to have known that he got to speak to my Dad who he loved very much & reminded him that I was forever his love. May you rest in peace mylove until we meet again with God by our sides🥺🥺🥺💝💝💝💝

Want to start by saying so sorry for the loss of our beloved Alex. Well here was the day 1992 we were so young 21 & Alex 22. He was and will forever be my true❤️ & the best part of our lives,which will always live in my heart. From here to the beginning of his military life, we went all over the world,and I'm so blessed to have had him in my life 20years and my family who loved him always. ❤️

En realidad no se como empezar a escribir tantas anécdotas que vivimos juntos Alex. Desde que llegastes a nuestro hogar te convertiste en el hermano mayor que nunca tuve. Cada vez que habia una indiferencia contigo mami siempre te defendia al igual papi. Nos reuníamos los fines de semanas a ver peleas de boxeo y peliculas con mi familia de Peñuelas. Nuestra casa siempre estuvo llena de amor. En el 2006 cuando me diagnosticaron cancer estuviste ahi como mi familia peleando la batalla me llevastes a mis tratamientos nunca me dejaste sola; asi pude hacerlo contigo. Recuerdo mi  pantalón negro que decia ARMY en el trasero, pero rebaje tanto con mi tratamiento que al dar la espalda solo se veia "AY" tu fuiste quien lo dijo; Alex siempre con sus ocurrencias. Sufriste al igual que nosotros la partida de nuestra madre; ahora estan juntos descansando en los brazos de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.  Gracias Alex siempre estuve a tu lado hasta donde Dios me permitio estar. Te voy a extrañar demasiado. TE AMO y nos volveremos a ver en las mansiones celestiales junto MAMI,  MAMA CHELA, TIO MIGUEL y TIO CHEITO. "Hunde el cloche!" Te amare por siempre la Flaca.🙏😭🥰🥰

Es difícil encontrar las palabras en momentos como estos. Agradezco a Dios que lo que tenía para decirte lo dije. Pues fueron decenas de horas las que pasamos juntos dialogando a toda hora. A veces en las mañanas, tardes, noches y hasta madrugadas. Fue toda una montaña rusa de emociones las que compartimos. Nunca te rendiste y sé que en este último momento estabas listo. Por eso tenemos esperanza. Hoy en medio de la niebla que deja tu ausencia recordaremos por siempre tu vida que dejó huellas en todos nosotros.

The value of our friendship went beyond measure. Hard to believe that you my Friend and Brother are no longer with us . Cuando llegaste a Puerto Rico nunca habíamos tenido la oportunidad de compartir contigo, pues no te conocíamos aún, siendo primos. Llegaste a mi casa donde te  dimos alojamiento sin esperar nada a cambio. Fue el ARMY que te llevó a mi hogar. Mi hermano Rogel siguió tus pasos, aunque él tenía en mente lo que quería, tú le brindaste el apoyo que necesitaba para hacerlo. Mi familia no es la más pudiente, mi casa no es una mansión donde cada quien tenga su propio cuarto con baño o tengas un lugar donde poner tu mercedes. Lo que sí sé es que mi familia es de Dios y sobretodo mi madre fue quien le brindó los mejores manjares, mi padre y mis hermanos compartian con el una tarde de ver juegos de baseball ( Yankees) baloncesto (NBA). Chely por otro lado, la flaca que siempre peleaba con ella y yo la que le lavaba la ropa y se la planchaba y lo hacía mejor que el laundry y el llegaba contento a su trabajo pues llegaba "asicala'o" y en el trabajo lo elojiaban. 
Mi familia lo llevó a la iglesia y el dió sus primeros pasos para bautizarse y gracias a Dios llegaron muchas pruebas pero supo levantarse. La enfermedad no lo venció porque logró lo que muchos anhelamos el Reino de los cielos, allí está él. Si deseas verlo algún día también tendrás que dar ese paso de fé que Alex Rodríguez dio cuando llegó a los pies de Cristo.
