Dear Pattie & Family
Just heard about your dad yesterday & was completely shocked to hear that the passed. He has been a dear friend for almost 70 years.  I cried all day yesterday & this morning. 
Last year was such a terrible year for us too. Joe is in a nursing home & has been there a year now. He has Alzheimers & will never come home. There is no cure & he is on hospice now.   I will really miss all the time we spent with your mom & dad, they were such dear friends  & will truly be missed. Please extend our sympathy to the family for me. I also had to downsize & moved back to Chicago next to my daughter. Will you please send me a holy card of your dad, I have your mom's. Thanks Barb Monaco 5348 S. Natoma Ave. Ch Il 60638.

Many prayers and condolences to the LaMantia family. I worked with Bob years ago when he was in the Control Center in Chicago. Great man who always was full of energy and good spirit.  Many fun memories of him and Joe Monaco as Control Operators. May his memory be Eternal!

I first met Bob in 1975 when I joined the Orland Fire District. He and Sonny Morgan were daytime lieutenants, who were the instructors for daytime firefighters on Monday mornings. Bob and I worked together on fire, ambulance and rescue calls. He looked out for us on calls and other situations. He truly cared for his family and the citizens of the fire district. Many times he would come for coffee at Station One when Sonny Morgan, Joe McNamara and I were working on Black Shift. He endured the comments that Joe would make about all of us. A true stand-up individual with a sense of humor who will be greatly missed. Thank You Bob for the knowledge, trust and friendship you have given.



We’ll miss you Bob, it’s been a few years since I saw you last but we worked together on different Fire station repairs. We called you “light bulb Bob” but you were much more than that. A wizz at door lock assembly’s and the ultimate parts getter. Always a smiling face and a good story to share. RIP , your friend Dan 

 Pat took me to the park as a 3 year old. We always seemed to meet Bob there. They married & the years of great memories continued. I believe Bob & Pat are happily reunited now. Rest In Peace Bob. 💕

Mr. Lamantia was a sincerely good person.   He had a great sense of humor which I enjoyed daily.     R.I.P. dear friend.

Bob, you were a dear friend.  You were always there when I needed someone to talk to.  We had a lot of laughs when we would talk.  You will be missed. RIP ❤️

Over the couple of dozen years that I have known his daughter I have heard so many good stories of home projects, pets cared for, meals made and shared together.  Although I didn’t get to spend much time with him, I know that he will be missed but his legacy will live on in her strength and knowledge of how to get things done.
