Marie A Maxwell

Marie A. Maxwell “Grandma Choo Choo”, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024. She is survived by her loving children: John (Neesha) Maxwell, Christine (Joe) Falkner and Wendy (John) Crones; cherished grandmother of: Chantelle, Shane, Doug, Shawn, Chrissy, Michelle, Mellissa, Billy, Brittany, David, Jim and Jennifer; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brother, Frank Schnolis. Marie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband, John Maxwell; sons: Richard and William Maxwell and grandson, Jacob Falkner.

Marie retired from Ingalls hospital where she worked as a switchboard operator for many years. She had passion for books. Her favorite book to read was Gone with the Wind. She enjoyed visiting the Peotone Library and watching game shows like Jeopardy. Grandma Choo Choo will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. Orland Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
