Linda E. Berg

November 16th, 1937 – February 4th, 2024

Linda Berg, beloved Wife and Mother and Stepmother, passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on November 16th, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Max and Erna Paula Badent (Kilian).

Linda was a loving and nurturing presence in so many lives. She started off her life in the Lakeview/St. Ben’s area of Chicago. She attended Audubon Grammar School and Lake View High School. Upon graduation she worked at numerous companies downtown before ending up at the American Cancer Society. She always enjoyed swimming, being a part of the Saints and later being on the condo board; but most of all, being a mother and being a part of so many other lives.

She survived her husband of 19 years, Oscar Emanual Berg Jr. She is survived by her son Eric Werner (Jill M.) Berg; and her stepchildren, William O. (Linda K.) Berg, the late Michael J. and her daughter-in-law Laurie A. Berg; as well as grandchildren Christina L. and Courtney L.

Friends and family will gather for a memorial visitation for Linda that will take place on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 West 143rd Street, Orland Park, Illinois 60462. Inurnment to take place on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 am at Ridgewood Cemetery, 9900 North Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois 60016.
