To Karen's family,

I met Karen several times but felt I really knew her from my sister, Dianne. She always talked about Karen in such a fond way. I know the two of them had some wonderful and some very funny memories. The fact that they both died together, under the same tragic circumstances and while coming to the aid of a mutual co-worker and friend is so telling of the relationship they had. Her work family. While we visited Dee the week before she died I came to the bank to cash a check and Karen and her smiling face were there to greet me. I will forever be wondering about the sense in all of this and though others may scoff, I know that this was not a surprise to God and that their absence and the absence of Jason and Sara was part of a plan that I do trust but I can't claim to understand.

Trinity, I can't help but to remember your mom as the sweetest and kindest woman. She always welcomed anyone and was so genuinely kind. Words cannot express how saddened I am to hear of this tragedy. My family sends our deepest condolences to Trinity and the rest of Karen's family. We remember Karen as a very kind and gentle soul. Andrew (Trinity's age) and Jennifer remember Karen from the years they attended St. Mark's school in Rothschild. Mark and I had run into Karen since those years and remember her as such a kind person so proud of her daughter. We will continue to hold your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Knowing Karen was a pleasure, she always greeted me with a smile and her soft spoken voice.  Cause of my job I went in on a regular bases to do my banking for years.  Karen was always my first choice unless she was busy with another customer or with other work.  She would always greet you by name and not only did she know me but she knew all my family members.  My most recently memory was just a couple of months ago when my husband and I actually came together through the drive thru and Karen said to us So you two actually are married we all laughed because we both would come in but rarely together.  Several times we would hear, your husband or wife was just in.  I feel honored to have had the opportunity to get to know her.  It has been very difficult for me and I am deeply sadden for not being able to see her kind face again.  Just know that Karen left a very deep impression on many people because she was a very special person.  My prayers are with you and your family for your great loss.  :'(

I am sure that anyone who knew Karen would agree with me when I say that she was truly an Angel here on earth and now she is an Angel in heaven.  I am so blessed to have known her and call her my friend.

Karen was the most wonderful friend., more like my very own sister . Iworked with her several years and have known her more than half my life., we were born a day apart the same year, same city and use to call eachother"my almost twin".she had a way to make people feel better just by her conversation or smile., she not only talked the talk but walked the walk., an imitation of Christ and His love., I know she is smiling down on us all but a part of me went with her ., we will all feel her loss but take comfort in knowing she is at peace with God and all our loved ones in heaven

Karen used to watch my son when he was in daycare/school. When he started elementary school we lost contact until I started going to the Rothschild branch of the bank. The first time I saw her after so many years she remembered my sons and asked how we were doing? I was so amazed she remembered us. I will miss her smile. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for comfort and healing for her family. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Karen became my friend when she worked at JCPenney. She was a great lady ,and one of the sweetest people that I've ever met.  I will miss her so much.
