Diane U. Jones

Diane U. Jones, 83, of Crestwood, IL passed away on October 27th, 2021, after a short and hard fought battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Paul Jones Jr (deceased, June 21, 2010).

Diane was the loving mother of Susan (Michael) Engelhardt, Samuel Jones, Sandra (David) McAllister, Steven J. (Elizabeth) Jones and Scott (Jennifer) Jones.

Diane was a devoted Grandmother, She always had a multitude of entertaining toys, books, and crafts, as well as a fun loving and engaging presence. She will be fondly remembered by Kae (Joseph) Orgel, Cari Engelhardt (Christopher) Sulla, Samuel, Suzette, and Louis Jones.

She was the proud Great-Grandmother of Theodore Sulla.

Cherished sister of Charles (Kathy) Ullrich, the late Donna Duvall and the late Kenneth Ullrich.

Diane dearly loved her family, her friends, and her community. She worked in the medical field as a nurse at A Little Company Of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, IL, for over 40 years before retiring. After retirement, Diane was very involved in Moraine Valley Church, Palos Heights, IL., serving at the Agape Center After-school Ministry, Coffee Hour, and Grief Share group.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 1st, 2021 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Orland Funeral Home, located at 9900 W. 143rd St. Orland Park, IL. A funeral service will take place at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Mount Vernon Memorial Estates Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution be made in memory of Diane to one of the following charities: Compassion International, St Jude's Children's Hospital, or the Salvation Army.
