Alexis is survived by her mother, Dora Gonzalez, her father, Jose J. Esparza, her three siblings, Ana Gonzalez, Gil Gonzalez and Jessica Esparza and her two nieces, Jazmin and Larisa Willis.
Alexis reveled in the vibrant tapestry of life, wholeheartedly embracing all the myriad experiences it had to offer. She was profoundly entrenched in the world of the arts, where her creative pursuits encompassed a diverse range of disciplines, including film editing, acting, visual arts, and the passionate endeavor of painting. On any given day, one might encounter her joyfully wielding either a hula hoop or a camera, with each object reflecting her playful spirit and distinctive artistic flair. Her keen attention to detail when capturing images through the lens of her camera was nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing her remarkable ability to uncover and highlight the beauty that resides in everything and everyone around her.
Moreover, her love for painting allowed her to express her creativity in yet another vibrant form, further enriching her artistic repertoire. In many ways, she served as our little peacemaker, fostering harmony and understanding through her multifaceted artistic vision and gentle, nurturing presence.
A visitation for Alexis will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143rd St., Orland Park, IL 60462 with a prayer service at 3:30 PM.
