Born in Fargo, North Dakota the family relocated to Tennessee when she was 15 years old; and eventually lived in the Paxon, Illinois with her first husband where they began a family and worked for Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois.
Vickie made a home in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986, she truly loved Boston and that is where she met her husband Richard Hobart. They were together for 20 years and completely devoted to each other in every way; no one could make her laugh like Richard did. Once they relocated to South Florida the two of them were well known and well liked along the beach and anyone could stop by for a juice, Vic's cookies, a beer, or just a laugh. Laughter was a very important part of Vickie's life.
She was an animal lover and had many dogs throughout her life, each and every one of them adored her.
We know she is with Muffin, Bonz and Mia all of them gathered around her now for a special cuddle, treats, and multiple pats on the head. This is Vickie's idea of heaven.
Vickie was an attractive woman, she was always dressed impressively and was known for her large and large beautiful earrings. One of her best quotes was "Hold your head up high, be proud of who you are, dress well and act like YOU own the place!" She was a hard worker and was successful in her life along with being a well liked manager in the positions she held. She worked many years for Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts and Oakwood Terrace in Miami, Florida.
She had many devoted and loyal friends - some stood out in her life and she in return was devoted to them.
Mike Jaworski of Hollywood Beach, Florida; Mike helped care for her for many years with loyalty and love. Seth Weisel of North Miami Beach, Florida whom she considered a son and her best friend, Nancy Robinson of Miami, Florida whom she admired so much.
There will never be anyone else like Victoria; she will forever be loved and missed by her daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
Victoria will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Richard in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, located in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. The time and dates will be announced at a later time.
