Vickie Lynn Purvis was a once in a lifetime person you would ever meet. She was a light in this universe that can never be dimmed. Her presence brought joy and happiness to all that will transcend into all of time. She knew the importance of life and graciously gave all the best advice that was deeply rooted in love and held all the right answers. Love was always the right answer. Family was always the right answer. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and Nana. She loved fiercely and selflessly. Anyone that knew her soul knew it was one of the sweetest they’d ever encounter again. She was the life of the party and if you ever cranked up some Elvis or 1970’s rock she was singing every word and dancing along. Many know her for being a fast talker, but she was a slow, steady constant in our lives that always offered a safe haven. She will be deeply missed. In her honor we ask to “not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break, and all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you. Be the light Vickie was and grace everyone with the kindness she did. That is what she would truly want.
Vickie Lynn Purvis is survived by her children Derek Purvis and Thim Purvis, Degan Purvis and Meru Barnes, Ashley Purvis and Van Bowen; her grandchildren Donavon Purvis, Aviana Purvis, and Eliana Purvis; her husband, Kent Purvis; her sister, Lisa Williams; her nieces Cassidy Bartlett and Tiffany Bennett; her nephew, Jeremiah Bomgardner; dear aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Lane family; and infinite loving friends.
Your love will light my way, your memory will ever be with me.
