Very saddened to hear about Tom’s passing. Loved playing baseball growing up with Tom, Tim and Rob. Lost touch over the years, but reading about him, he grew into being as good a person as he was a baseball player. Sincerest condolences to the Draper family.

Seldom in life do you have the privilege to meet someone with the character of Tom. He was truly a special man and I was honored to have known him and to call him my friend. My wife always referred to him as my Brother from a different Mother. My heart aches since his passing, but I know one day we will be able to able to rejoice in our reunion together with our Lord and Savior.  The world is a lesser place without him, but he has left an amazing legacy of his family and all of us who knew and loved Tom.

Tom and I met while I was working with Stellar on the Hale Koa Project in Hawaii. He became more than just a role model for me; he was someone whose friendship I truly valued. Tom was a wonderful person with a larger-than-life personality. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know him and Annie during their visits to the island. Tom had the best stories and an outgoing nature that made it easy for someone who is naturally introverted like me to open up and connect with him, both professionally and personally.

The time I spent with Tom and Annie has had a lasting impact on my life, and I will always cherish those memories. I will forever miss Tom and his friendship.

Annie, Krystal and I send our love along with a big hug. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers. Please keep in touch, and I am looking forward to the pumpkin carving competition next year. P.S. I think Christian's Jordan carving this year got a bad rap.

I met Tom Draper sometime prior to 2010 in Honolulu at a Jack in the Box where we agreed to meet prior to a Federal Project bid.  I know Stellar was unsuccessful in winning that bid, but I immediately knew that Tom Draper was a straight up honest, respectful and genuine kind of guy and I just knew that it wouldn’t be long before he made Stellar successful in Hawai’i.  I can’t remember exactly the first project we partnered (Tom always referred to our Company as Partners with Stellar) with Stellar on, but what I can say is everything Tom said would happen came true.  In the Contracting world many people make promises they either can’t keep or never intended to honor in the first place, but Tom Draper was not like so many others in my 36 years in the Construction Industry.  Tom Draper was like solid gold from the first project we partnered with him on all the way to 2024.  My most special memory I had with Tom was not on a job site, but after work when he wanted to meet my Son Blaise who played baseball at a park in Mililani Hawaii.  Blaise was maybe 11 at the time and Tom worked him out for an hour that day.  I was blown away that Tom spent his most precious time to help my Son out given how much time Tom spent at work.  Tom was not only a trusted Contractor, but I consider him to be a great friend of mine and cannot believe that he is gone…I wish I had more time with Tom and took him up on his offer to visit with him and Annie in Florida, but I will always cherish the man, the legend Tom Draper who came to Hawaii and became my friend!  Rest in peace my friend, “a hui hou kakou” and I’ll see you on the other side.

I will so miss my friend. As a new higher to Whiting-Turner, Tom was first to become my friend.

Once I found out he was a Dolphin fan, from Buffalo no less, our friendship was bonded.

I will also cherish Tom and I making the trek to Buffalo for several Dolphin games.

His family was so precious and welcoming.

Tom, I love and will miss you.

The world will be a little less bright without you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a wonderful person. Two years ago he heard that I was taking my family to Hawaii.  He called a buddy in Hawaii and asked him to reach out to us as a welcome to Hawaii.  It was really nice of him.  
For his family, I hope the memories  of Tom over the years helps them to cope with this loss.

Tom was truly my best friend growing up.   Spending time at the Draper residence in Medina, NY was always enjoyable.   I will never forget the times he would trick me into eating or drinking something different, like Chocolate milk made with goat's milk or Beef tongue for dinner at the Bracey house.  As his catcher during high school baseball games I know first hand how talented he was playing the game.  I still remember the homerun he hit that absolutely towered over the press box at Vet's Park.  He loved being a member of the marching band as well.  He even tried to get me into the band pushing the amplifier since I had no musical talent what-so-ever.   I was blessed to be back in touch with him over this past year.  When we talked it seemed that he was more concerned over my health issues than his own.  He gave me a lot of tips to help me out. My heart is broken over his passing.

Annie, Spencer, Christian, Sue, Debbie, Rob &Tim:   My prayers go out to all of you.  I am devastated that I can not be with you all on December 5,  but my thoughts will be with you as I hold vigil for him on my own that day.

Chuck and I met Tom and Belinda when he called me about his roof. The day we came out to inspect the roof, we had an instant connection and he and Chuck bonded over their love of beer. We became fast friends, and enjoyed getting together at Chubby's Wings. Tom was one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever known. He loved his wife with his entire being. He was such a proud dad and really enjoyed sharing his son's successes. He loved Hawaii and was the perfect source of info for anyone traveling there. Tom will be greatly missed, but I'm happy to know he is no longer in pain! I'm sure he is enjoying time with his mom, whom he cherished!!
