S. Bryan Jennings, Jr. was the son of Sherman Bryan Jennings and Dorothy Brown Jennings. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was in his third year at Stetson University when he was drafted by the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean War rising to the rank of Lt. Col.. While stationed in Orlando, he married Martha Maguire Caton and moved his family back to Clay County. Bryan returned to run his family business, San Lebrydo Lumber Co., in Middleburg. He was instrumental in the development of this area. One of the founding members of the Orange Park Rotary Club, he was voted president and later named "Citizen of the Year" 2009 - 2010". He brought cable tv with Clay Video and was involved with the Police Pention Board, Orange Park Town Council and City Commissioner. His philanthropic efforts includes the Salvation Army, YMCA of Clay County, St. Vincent's Medical Center of Clay County and Grace Episcopal Church. He was active with the PET Project in Penney Farms. He is well known as an avid outdoorsman with love for hunting and fishing. He was considered a compassionate family man. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Maguire Jennings; sisters: Lela May Odum and Dorothy Jennings Sandridge and nephew, Walter Guy Odum, Jr. He is survived by four loving daughters, Terry C. Hooks (Kenneth), Rebecca C. Pantelis, Bonnie C. Horne, Jennifer C. Brower (Darby), eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his niece, Linda Jennings Odum, and nephew, Gordon Rollo Sandridge, Jr.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Monday, July 8th, 2013 at his home.
