Richard W. Futch, Sr. age 65, went to be with Jesus on September 16, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville and was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. Richard retired from the Jacksonville Fire Department in 1979, was a Registered Nurse for 20 years, served in the Navy Reserves and was a member of the Masonic Middleburg Lodge F AM #107 and a 33 Degree Mason and Shriner. He is survived by his wife Barbara Futch, 3 sons, Richard W. Futch, Jr., David Lee Futch and Raymond William Mytholar, 2 daughters, Patricia Kathleen Witt and Mindy Denise Higgins, 2 brothers, Laurence E. Futch and William L. Futch, Sr. and 11 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral Home, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL 32073. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Estes officiating.
