Patricia Diane Tiefel, 66, of Orange Park, FL and formerly of Gainesville FL passed from COVID complications on August 13, 2021. Born on August 5, 1955, in Gainesville Florida Patricia was the daughter of Leslie May and raised by her Mother Katie Purvis, and Stepfather Robert Davis. At the age of 16, Patricia was hired as a meat wrapper at the Old Mainstreet Publix it was from there she moved up in the ranks going from the deli and then into management. She started her management career as a deli manager at the old Argyle location. Patricia was known to be a mentor and role model to many who knew or worked with her. After 45 years with the company, Patricia retired to enjoy life and spend time with her many family and friends.
Patricia loved animals. She adopted and cared for many pets. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was known to be a hardworking, kind, loving, and generous woman who loved her family dearly. She was always willing to lend a hand when someone was in need.
Married to her husband, Lynn, on July 14, 1998, Lynn survives in Orange Park, Florida. Also surviving is son, Jason Stengel; daughter in law Leslie Stengel; sister Nan Silcox and her husband Terry; brother Tommy Davis and his wife Carol. Her lifelong friends Joyce Stengel and Debbie Bradley, her 5 grandchildren Cooper McCuley, Alice Stengel, Garrett Stengel, Lacy Stengel, and Charlotte Stengel. Also, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by mother Katie Purvis, father Leslie May, stepfather Robert Davis, son Christopher Stengel, and brother Horace Allen Davis.
A visitation for Patricia will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead Funeral home 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073 followed by a funeral service Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 12:00 PM. A committal service will occur after the funeral services at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, FL 32073.
