Levy "Joe" Owens Murdaugh, Jr.

Levy "Joe" Owens Murdaugh Jr., age 87, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born in Walterboro, South Carolina to the late Levy and Vertis Murdaugh. Joe was the owner of furniture restoration business and enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening and beehiving.

He was predeceased by his son, Daniel Allen Murdaugh; brother, Ralph (Georgia Dale) Murdaugh; and 2 sisters: Hazel (Jimmy) Trippe and Blanche (Roy) Medders.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Jacqueline Murdaugh; sons: Levy J. (Cindy) Murdaugh and Steven L. (Judy) Murdaugh; daughters: Lisa Y. Murdaugh, Billie J. (Brad) Evans and Annette J. Murdaugh; 11 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Matthew, Jesse, Megan, Nicholas, Kyla, Emily, Carly, James, Amanda and Taylor; 11 great-grandchildren: Nico, Victoria, Corban, Atticus, Charlotte, Lincoln, Beau, Olivia, Caroline and Annastasia; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL with Rev. Rick Crews officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
