 CATHY, CASSIE AND ERIN,  IT IS NOT THE SAME AROUND HERE W/OUT ERNIE. HIS INFECTIOUS SMILE AND PERSONALITY IS GREATLY MISSED.  THE FELLOWSHIP IS EVEN MORE GREATLY MISSED. Ernie was a special person. He was always so welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. We have such fond memories of the Christmases we spent at the Bennett house. It was so special for us, especially because we didn't have family nearby for the holidays. We will miss him dearly but he will always have a special place in our hearts. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all.

Mr. Bennett will be missed by so many.  He was a man that always had a great story to tell and big hug to give.  He has helped, inspired, loved and been loved by so many people and his memory will go on. Ernie always greeted me with a smile and a great big hug!!!  His warmth and kindness was infectious.  His personality and laugh was unforgetable.  He will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Kathy, Cassie, and Erin may you be comforted in the fact that he is now with the angels.

Usually when in-laws come into your life, it is made into a joke, or worse.  My son Adam married into the Bennett family and I have always thanked God for this.  I feel this devastating loss for them and for myself as I love them as my family and will miss Ernie with his big heart and big smile.

Ernie and I went to school and church youth group together and when I think of Ernie, the first thing that comes to mind is that wonderful, huge smile!  I never saw Ernie without that smile!  He got that smile from his mother, please give her a special hug from me, she might remember me still from Southside Methodist church.  
Ernie was without a doubt an awesome guy in every way!  I know you will miss him terribly, but his battle was a valiant one that spoke volumes to so many people of faith and endurance.  During this Christmas season, loss is particularly difficult so please focus on the memories and the warmth of having Ernie a part of your lives.  I prayed for Ernie and now I pray that the Lord gives you His peace and tranquility.

Mr. B was a great man. My favorite thing about him were his stories and his smile. He is one of those rare people who always lived life to the fullest, enjoying every minute. Jerry and I are so sorry that Ernie's fight has ended.  Ernie was such a wonderful man, he loved you all so much.  Anytime we saw him his conversation always led to his family.  He and I always talked horses and I'm still amazed Kathy gave up her single horse power for lots of two wheeled horse power.  Ernie always seemed very proud of you riding motorcycles.  I'm so happy he had the opportunity to hold Luke.  I know there is nothing anyone can say to take away or lessen your pain at this point, but please know we are all thinking of you and our prayers are with your whole family.  I  have another friend who lost her husband at what I consider an early age, it's been 8 months, she is starting to return to her old self.  Trust me, time does help heal.  Spend a year, before making any major decisions.  Jerry Jr and Shannon were married on the same day Ernie passed away.  May God bless and keep you all.
