Donald Louis Crutch departed this life on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL. He was born in Jamaica, New York on June 12, 1967, he was the son of Alfred C. Crutch and Shirley J. Crutch. Donald Louis Crutch was one of six children, while growing up in Jamaica, New York, he attended Forest Hills High School and graduated in 1985. Donald Louis Crutch then met and married his High School sweetheart of 24 years Lisa Crutch from their union they had four children, two daughters and two sons. He attended Bibleway Temple pastored by the late Bishop Jesse C. Davenport Sr., in South Ozone Park, New York. During his lifetime he worked for New York City Transit
and Triborough Bridge and Tunnel. He started a group called Minister and Friends and produced two CD’s. He was a type of person that always wanted to help others which led him to start two Non-For-Profit Organizations. National Pink Tie Organization (NPTO), men supporting the fight against cancer and Honor Guards of America. Where he could educate, preserve history, recognize all, provide assistance, offer scholarships and emotional assistance. From these two organizations many others were birthed. All of his time and energy was devoted to helping others. His last project was making sure that his spiritual son Ty attend Wells College which fulfilled his dreams which was not just playing College Basketball, but
playing with his brother. Donald was not just running his many organizations but, he was also a very involved Rotarian, which goals matched his life’s works. In his lifetime Donald has touched, helped, encouraged, support and love too many to name. He’s a type of person where a smile from him
was all that was needed. Donald leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife Lisa Crutch, four children Tiara Crutch, Dontai Crutch, Taniyah Crutch (Rodney Williams), DaVontai Crutch, mother Shirley J. Crutch, father Alfred C. Crutch, sister Patricia A. Crutch, brothers Alfred L Crutch (Clothidle), Kenneth E. Crutch (Adrien), Glenn E. Crutch (Eileen) and Jerome L. Crutch (Leigh), sister-in-laws Linda Elliott, Jacqueline McCord, brother-in-laws Rennard McCord, Brian McCord (Linda), George McCord (Frances), three grandchildren Kennedi, Rodney III, Raniyah, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday January 12, 2019 with 1 hour prior visitation at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 4401 Georgetown Drive Jacksonville, Florida 32210. Committal Service is 9:30 AM Monday January 14, 2019 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218. For Jacksonville National Cemetery, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the service and cars will line up in lane #2.
