He was born on May 24, 1945, to Bruno and Laura Multari and was the baby brother to Nick, Sissy, and Lovey. Vito was born and raised in “the Bronx”, New York where he met the love of his life Cathy Kirchmann (Multari). Vito and Cathy went on to marry on May 3, 1969. Shortly after they welcomed their first child EvaMarie on February 1, 1970. He then worked as a photographer for many years and fulfilled his dream of becoming a chef and restaurant owner. Four years later, they welcomed their second daughter KarinAnn on September 21, 1974. Vito and Cathy moved to Deltona, Florida in 1978 where they planted their roots to raise their family.
Vito is survived by his wife, Cathy; a sister Sissy (Mary) Multari; daughters EvaMarie and KarinAnn; grandchildren, Danielle, Stevin, and Romin; and great-grandchildren Averi and Laila.
Vito truly lived life to its fullest. He loved to coach softball (where he led them to the state championship), he was an avid bowler who would hit a 300-point game, cook, dance with his wife where they won “the twist” contest while tearing his ACL, spend time with his family, travel, and cruise. He had the ability to create special bonds with everyone he encountered and would strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. Vito is truly loved by everyone, and we will all cherish the moments, recipes, and memories that we shared with him.
By the family's request, please wear your favorite Hawaiian or beach attire. Please refrain from wearing anything black, in keeping with Vito's love for life, laughter and family.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.deltonamemorialfuneralhome.com for the Multari family.
