Your life is remembered by those you leave behind, but we know that you are with us and watch over us each and every day now. May you rest in peace and know you have touched and blessed all our lives.

God gave you many major challenges to face during your time with us.  You were a true soldier in God's army.  Faith, prayer and the Word were your weapons of warfare.   Like, Paul, the grace of God enabled you and empowered you in your weakness.  Each battle you faced was with strength beyond dispute giving me inspiration to be a better daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend knowing God has a plan for each of us beyond our own comprehension.
Words can never fully express how much you mean to me or how broken I feel without you.  The memories you leave behind that are closest to my heart are ones from my childhood days.  Ones when you were both parent and friend.  They weren't philosophical, but they were sincere and have stayed with me through my life.   
As my mother, you taught me right from wrong.  Being impertinent to my elder was unacceptable, disrespecting someone's feelings was distasteful and falsehoods were deplorable.  
As my friend, you taught me to listen with both my ears and my heart.  You taught me that if someone is in pain, physical or psychological, it's real and is never to be discounted or judged falsely.  You taught me that money and possessions have no true worth if your heart is dark and that everyone has value in God's eyes.   You taught me that death of the body isn't the end and that God will cradles us in His arms and carry us Home when the time is right. God knew your time was on December 18, 2014.
The world as I knew it changed when dementia reared its ugly head and began taking the mother I knew away. I've been mourning the loss of you for almost 2 years now and though it has turned my life upside down, you and I knew God was enough for us no matter what the situation we face.  Through God's grace I was able to adjust to a new “normal.” Many times I held your hand and prayed for God's mercy as you silently stared into space.  Stroking your arm with my head resting against your chest, I felt my own tears falling as my heart wanted to carry you away from your darkness.  Brushing your hair, wiping your tears, assuring you that God has not forgotten you, I watched you slip away.  God made a mother's love is matchless which is what has made losing you so incredibly painful.

Susie,my sister, was the sweetest, kindest person I have ever known. she never said a negative word about anyone and always prayed for the very best for everyone. Tomorrow she will celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Savior dancing and singing with Him--no more pain, no more worries. I am so sorry for the loved ones that will not see her again. She was so very special. To Lonnie and Daphne, I will be praying for peace and comfort for you. Blessings to all, Brenda
