Suzanne Fay "Sue" Browne, 81, of Deltona went to be with our Lord on February 11, 2014. Born on April 13, 1932 to William and Eva (Robinson) Browne, she entered the order of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1951 becoming both a nun and a mathematics teacher. She departed the order in 1967 to care for her aging parents and taught advanced math at Bishop Moore High School in Orlando for over 30 years retiring in 2001. She was an avid sports fan and coached the Bishop Moore girls softball and basketball teams for many seasons. She was inducted into the Bishop Moore Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
Following her retirement, she devoted her time to serving her church. She was awarded the Mary Mother of God diocesan medal in 2008 by Bishop Wenski, honoring her extraordinary service to her church community in the areas of growing faith leading others to holiness, and sharing time, talent and treasure.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Browne, and sister, Barbara Raguse. She is survived by her brother, William Browne of Orlando and sister, Carol Ray of Las Vegas, numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews and her many dear friends in the Deltona Our Lady of the Lakes parish family. Viewing will be held Monday, February 17th at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximilian St, Deltona, FL 32725 from 6 - 8 pm. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at the church on Tuesday, February 18th at 10 am
