Robert L Baker

Bob was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. He proudly served the United States Navy where he was a boiler technician on a destroyer ship. He also worked a full time job while he attended college where he earned an A.S. Degree in business . He then founded West Volusia Welding a very successful Welding shop in West Volusia County. Where his skill and expertise left a lasting impact on his community.

Bob was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors . His stories of hunting adventures and his deep appreciation of nature were a cherished part of his life as well as that of his family.

Bob was a devoted husband , father, brother, son , grandfather, great grandfather and uncle .

He is survived by 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 7 great -grandchildren.

Bob loved hunting but also loved animals especially his dog “ Marley“ and cat “ Lucky “ he was a jokester and had a very quick witty sense of humor . He will be missed so much by his family and friends.

A funeral service for Robert will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763, followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks if anyone wants to make donations that they be made to your local animal shelter.
