Patricia Hill

Patricia (Pat) Anne Hill of Orange City, FL passed away peacefully on April 27,2023. Pat was 82 years old. A wonderful wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother, Pat can be best remembered for her undeniable dedication to being a loving and supportive mother to her three boys.

In 1940, Pat was born in Detroit, Michigan to Bud and Gladys Keenan. Pat grew up in the suburban area of Detroit as the eldest of three siblings. In her teenage years, Pat was a renowned roller and figure skater, competing on a national level. Pat attended The University of Detroit, where she earned an Associates Degree. In 1960, Pat married her husband, Art. Together, they formed an unbreakable bond until his passing in 2012. Over the years, Pat and Art enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Bermuda through his company. They also made a road trip to Arizona and a memorable trip to Scotland.

Pat’s competitive spirit carried into her adult life as she enjoyed playing high-level tennis in many leagues. Pat was always up for a good game of doubles.

Utilizing her creativity and love for crafts, Pat was a successful owner of a plastercrafts business, The Potpourri. After selling her plastercrafts store, Pat went on to manage a chain of Match Point Tennis Shops in the Central Florida area. Pat was very successful throughout her professional career.

In her later years, Pat became involved with scrapbooking, where she met a group of wonderful friends. She looked forward to the “Crop Weekends” several times a year.

Pat’s greatest joy was simply being around her family. This would include gatherings in the NC mountains, reunions in Michigan, or the Christmas Eve extravaganza that she hosted every year.

As a wife and mother, Pat always made her family her number one priority. Whatever the situation, Pat was always there providing support for her husband and children. Throughout her life, Pat always spoke of the love she had for her family members.

Pat is survived by her three sons; Greg (Diana), Scott (Rose), and Kevin (Liz) Hill; her 8 grandchildren, her 2 great grandchildren, and her brother Mike (Toni) Keenan.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763.
