Maureen Ann Hughes

A loving mother of five children, she devoted her life to her family and a career in public health nursing. She was active in the Catholic Nursing Ministry and served as a Eucharistic Minister in her parish church, St. Ann’s in Debary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim Hughes, and stepson Bob Hughes. She is survived by her children Tami Scheele, Pinellas Park, FL, William Toole, Stafford, VA, Shawn Toole, Severn, MD, Colleen Lester, Wayne, WV and Kevin O’Toole, Venice, FL; her stepchildren Timothy Hughes, Orlando, FL, and Lynn Hughes, Deland, FL; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL 32763. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, Debary, FL. Interment will follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens, 1295 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, FL.
