Linda Jean Lawson was born to Juanita and Thomas Day in Covington Kentucky. At the age of 4 she began taking piano and organ lessons. She was always a good student. By the age of 14 she began playing the organ at Ashland Ave Baptist Church. She continued her service to God at First Baptist Church of Clermont, and Central Baptist Church in Sanford for most of the 50 years she played. Married Charles “Chuck” Lawson November 1964 married for 51 years. In 1968 they welcomed their daughter Angela and then in 1999 welcomed their grandson Jimmy. She was devoted to her family always giving of herself to others and the same love for people changed her life right in the middle to give that same love and devotion to others in need.
In 1987 after the death of her father she decided to change her dedication and career and went back to school to be a nurse graduating August 1988 at the top of her class. She began her new career at the hospital but wanted to do more so started working at Assisted Living and Nursing Homes. She found her calling working Hospice Care reading the bible and helping them and their family members help with the passing of their loved ones.
In later years she was devoted to taking care of her husband and doing anything she can for her family. Her health faded quickly but her love for her family and her God never wavered. She is now on the streets of gold with her Lord and Savior for ever more.
