Mr. Lanis "Joe" Victor Boyette, of Daytona Beach, Florida, born on May 14, 1933 in Wauchula Florida, passed away at age 85 on January 13, 2019 in DeLand, Florida. He attended Mainland Sr. High School. Lanis served in the Army 1953-55 in the Korean War and he also worked in the Military/Electronics industry as a quality control engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company, licensed Auctioneer and Homebuilder. Lanis was preceded in death by his sister, Merle Swanson.
He is survived by his Wife of 66 years, Christine Boyette, son, Gregory Boyette, daughter, Brenda Harrelson, granddaughter, Kimberly Harrelson, grandson, Andy Harrelson and great granddaughter, Lucy Rae Harrelson.
Lanis' hobbies included woodworking, fishing, ballroom dancing, Gaither concerts, traveling, watching for Sand Hill cranes and antique collecting.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Richard Chandler, on Thursday, January 17 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and visitation on Wednesday, January 16 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL, 32763.
Internment will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, FL, 32754 at 12:30 p.m.
