Jamilia Nahshe Ahmed

Jamilia Nahshe Ahmed, age 24, departed her earthly home for her heavenly home on January 4, 2015.

Jamilia was born on April 23,1990 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Rasheeda Ahmed and Mitchell Jones. Her name, Jamilia Nahshe, means "miracle of God". Her life was a summation of her name.

Born and raised a Military brat, she grew up admiring the military's passion for unity and concern for others, which she displayed with her immediate family along with all of her friends. She also had a dedication to fulfill her love to travel the world. She visited her dad in Germany, which afforded her the opportunity to see some of the European culture that many only dream of. Domestically, she was able to explore some of America's greatest treasures, like the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Las Vegas and many sites along the way.

Her passion for knowledge and accomplishment was equal to her passion for exploring.

She graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from high school at age 17. She graduated with her Associate Degree from Daytona State College in 2010 majoring in languages- German and French, and was a senior in 2011 at the University of Central Florida majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and Marketing. Jamilia also attended Lisa Maile Acting & Modeling School, which steered her toward additional opportunities while living in Central Florida.

Jamilia leaves behind her Mother, Rasheeda Denning, Step-Father, Brian Denning, Sr., Father, Mitchell Jones, Step-Mother, Marnita Jones, Sisters, Aaliyah, Laila, Nadia, Desiree, Ashlee, Latrice, Whitney, Brittany, JaNae, and Brother, Brian Jr.

She also leaves her devoted Grandmother, Margaret Joseph and Grandfather, Albert Joseph

along with her Grandmother, Mary Denning, Godmother, Julia Williams and Godson, Amauri. A host of relatives and friends that she loved and shared her life with that will never be forgotten.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, January 11th from 1 - 3 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 3 pm.
