Ida Lee (Martin) Walls died at her home in Deltona with her sister, Esther and niece, Audrey present and comforting her as she passed peacefully on August 23, 2012 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 1998.
She and her husband moved to Deltona from Silver Spring, Maryland in 1980. She retired after 37 years from AMTRAK as manager of the Capitol Hill Satellite Office in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed traveling within the U.S. and abroad. She also enjoyed crafts and working in her yard.
She was a member of the German-American Club of Casselberry, Florida.
She is survived by her sister, Esther Shipp and special nieces, Audrey Martin of Deltona, FL and Karen Neher of Warfield, VA and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 5 – 7 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL, PH: 386-775-4260, where funeral services will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 11:00 am. Entombment will immediately follow in Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the DeBary/Orange City SDA Church, 2535 South Volusia Avenue (17/92), Orange City, Florida 32763.
